About The Company:
Our client is an architectural glass and aluminum company who designs, fabricates and installs systems while offering complete glazing solutions.  They pride themselves as being the go-to source for architects, engineers, general contractors and building owners for over 40 years! They are looking to add a Senior Glazing Estimator to their Team!

Responsibilities:

• Review proposal specifications and preliminary drawings to determine scope of work
• Complete full quantity take-off as per contract specifications to ensure accuracy of pricing
• Calculate and inputs the data into spreadsheets
• Solicit pricing from providers, vendors and suppliers for equipment and materials cost
• Determine shipping/truckloads and freight price
• Budgets equipment/material/labour costs for projects
• Complete final cost estimate of projects through the use of in-house Excel worksheets
• Review FTP sites, other plan rooms for appropriate tender requests

Requirements:

• Post-Secondary Diploma in Construction/Architectural Technology or equivalent technical field required
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Architectural Glazing industry
• Extensive experience estimating/coordinating small and large scale construction projects
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Knowledge of Cost Estimating principles
• Knowledge of architectural fabrication
• Able to read drawings and models
• Attention to detail and good time management
• A team player, who can interrelate and operate effectively with peers and others
• Organizational skills and the ability to be flexible in managing changing priorities
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Excellent problem solving, strong analytical critical and creative thinking skills, self-motivated and results driven
