$22.00-30.00/hourly

About the Company:

Our client is a Canadian custom and production machine shop that is based in Brampton, ON. They have been successfully operating for over 40 years and have built a reputation in providing  cost-effective engineering solutions, fast turnaround times and superior customer service. They are seeking a Lathe Operator to join their skilled and dynamic team!

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate lathes, mills and turner machine
• Read, analyze and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Complete first run inspection and perform spot checks
• Determine all machine shop tasks are accomplished within specified run times and according to specifications
• Perform minor repairs and troubleshooting
• Follow Health and Safety procedures and regulations
• Other operator duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Experience in Manual Lathe Machine and Turner Machine
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role and/or environment; machine shop experience is asset
• Valid driver’s license with reliable vehicle
• Knowledge in welding and use of milling machines are an asset
• Strong attention to detail
• Punctual and a team player
