General Machinist

$25.00-30.00/hourly

About the Company:

Our client is a Canadian custom and production machine shop headquartered in Brampton,ON . They have been in the business for more than 40 years and are known for their cost-effective engineering solutions, fast turnaround times and superior customer service. They are seeking a General Machinist to join their skilled and dynamic team!

Responsibilities:

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret blueprints and engineering plans
• Prepare and set up mills, lathes, grinders, gear cutting machines by vises, chucks, fixtures and tools
• Perform inspection reports
• Ensure production goals are accomplished in an efficient and timely manner
• Follow Health and Safety procedures and regulations
• Perform site clean-ups and maintain a safe and tidy work environment
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Experience as a General Machinist
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a similar role and/or environment; machine shop experience is an asset
• Post-Secondary Education and/or Apprenticeship Training Program
• Valid driver’s license with own transportation
• Familiar in welding and milling machines are preferred
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Responsible, punctual and a team player
