About the Company:

Our client is a full-service General Contractor servicing the commercial, institutional, industrial and residential construction sector. They specialize in new builds of custom high-end homes, renovations and project management. Having more than a decade of dedicated construction experience, they have grown rapidly and are seeking an Construction Bookkeeper/Payroll Administrator to join their team .

Responsibilities:

  • Documenting, entering and organizing financial transactions and reports in company database
  • Budget forecasting
  • Record payroll data in software system and verify all amounts are correct before distribution of cheques
  • Notify senior management staff of any financial errors
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures are kept for payroll processing

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of bookkeeping and payroll experience in the construction industry
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity in accounts payable and receivables
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with company payroll software
