$100,000/annually

About the Company:

Our client is a leading design build general contractor in the industrial building market. They have been in operation in Canada since 1984 and have serviced some of the biggest named clients in the industry. They are currently seeking a project superintendent to join their growing team on a contract basis.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and supervise full cycle construction activities
• Set up of construction trailer and posting of safety material
• Direct all field personnel including contractors and vendors to ensure timely completion of projects
• Order materials and scheduling of inspections as deemed necessary
• Promote and ensure safety compliance on all job sites
• Timely completion of all related project documentation
• Scheduling of all required meetings with personnel, subcontractors, architects and owners
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as prime contractor/project manager in industrial construction setting (minimum 50,000 sqft)
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures in construction field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good problem solving and analytical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Computer proficiency with strong working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
