Industrial Electrician (Night Shift)

$34.00 – $37.00/hourly

About the Company:

Our client is a premium manufacturer of candy and chocolate products. Operating since 1896 they have grown to become one of the largest candy manufacturing companies in the world. They are growing at a rapid pace and are currently seeking an industrial electrician to join their team!

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
• Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
• Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
• Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
• Set up production lines for changeovers as required
• Use of proper lock-out/tag-out, personal protective equipment
• Maintain plant lighting, boilers, the internal fuse system, and energy management
• Interpret and work from blueprints, mechanical drawings, and sketches
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Valid 442A industrial electrician certification
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility
• Valid drivers license with clean abstract
• Candidates must be open to working straight night shifts
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
• Superior time management skills and ability to multi task
• Ability to read and understand electrical blueprints and schematics
